摘要
In this paper, we propose a two-dimensional photonic crystal multi-channel biosensor. This biosensor is implemented by a waveguide and some cavities which has the capability of highly parallel operation due to special architecture. The architecture is obtained by lattice shift of single hole around the cavities. Each channel has different resonant cavity and filling analyte to selected hole causes independently shift in resonant wavelength. Also, this biosensor has high sensitivity and quality factor. The waveguide and cavities are respectively created by omitting a raw of water holes and one hole, respectively. This biosensor is consisted from hexagonal lattice of water holes in silicon on insulator slab. Trapping DNA molecules and protein within the selected hole, causes spectral shift in the output terminal. The plane wave expansion (PWE) and finite difference time domain (FDTD) method are chosen to perform simulation.
