摘要
Geopolymers have been increasingly used in civil construction. They are obtained through the mixture of an aluminosilicate with an alkali medium, and its properties may vary according to processing conditions. They demonstrate a brittle behavior, and several types of fibers can be used as reinforcement in distinct forms. This study presents an experimental evaluation of GP-composites reinforced with natural and synthetic fibers, using a mixture based on metakaolin and sodium. Compression, tensile (analyzed by Weibull statistics) and pull-out tests were performed. The microstructure was investigated through scanning electron microscopy (SEM). All composites exhibited a strain-hardening behavior with multiple cracking formation. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
