A Unified Approach for Treatment of Frequency-Dependent Materials in FDTD Method

摘要
This paper presents a unified and efficient approach for treatment of frequency-dependent materials in the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method by performing fast inverse Laplace transform to find the time-domain impulse response of frequency-dependent quantities such as electric and magnetic susceptibility. Then, Prony's method is applied to extract parameters to be directly incorporate into the FDTD formulation. Examples of applying the proposed method to dielectric and magnetic materials are demonstrated and numerically validated.
