摘要
Effectively prepared and implemented strategy of enterprises is becoming an essential tool for their development. Practice shows that the strategy of enterprises is often underestimated, which may result in the inability to increase long-term competitiveness and other determinants of strategic development. The main objective of this paper is to define the main determinants of the strategic development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the winery section and to establish as how these determinants work effectively for the benefit of the long-term development of the research sample of enterprises. This objective is achieved through the selected research methods - situational analysis, methods of descriptive statistics and case studies of the selected small and medium-sized enterprises with the help of personal interviews and benchmarking and modelling of the strategic management process for the small and medium-sized entrepreneurship. The conclusions of this paper will be used for further research in this area. The results of the case study show that there is a possible potential of the strategic development of small and medium-sized enterprises in winery sector. Nevertheless, the shortcomings in the monitored enterprises were discovered, i.e. the strategic development determinants in these enterprises are not effectively utilized
