Universality of resonant splitting in superlattices

摘要
In this work the resonant splitting effect in semiconductor superlattices and magnetic-barrier superlattices is investigated systematically by using transfer-matrix method. Universality of characteristics of resonant splitting is revealed for electron tunneling through these two different kinds of superlattices. The results indicate that the common features of resonant splitting are not only determined by the structure but also by parameters of building blocks. Moreover, in magnetic-barrier superlattices splitting feature is also related with the tunneling momentum perpendicular to the tunneling direction.
