Research Data has emerged as a 1st class research citizen, providing prospects for new services, projects, and ultimately users. In the context of long tail research data, we aim to make this data available to researchers across disciplines via a set of metadata-based services. The meta-data component - GeRDI schema - represents one of the key challenges faced in this undertaking.
