Social constructionist perspective and cultural dimension: contribution to organizational studies

With the advent of modernity organizations have become the core of social life. The interest in understanding this phenomenon approached the organizational studies of social studies, which has provided the construction of theories capable of explaining the relationships that insert organizational practices in the process of social organization. Thus, it is justified to understand in depth the ontological and epistemological premises in so far as they ground theories and consequently methodologies, so as to avoid misconceptions and inconsistencies in the conduct of scientific research. The aim of this article is to understand and broaden studies that start from a social constructionist view when considering the cultural dimension. For this we resorted to the systematic review of international literature dealing with cultural studies based on constructionism. The final analysis made it possible to highlight epistemologically coherent theoretical and methodological contributions, to indicate coherences and inconsistencies in the works analyzed, to clarify gaps and to point out ways to expand socio-constructionist cultural researches.
