摘要
Two populations from different periods and socio-cultural backgrounds have been studied. The frequency of plant material included in dental calculus was cross-checked with dental microstriation frequencies. A large part of the studied plant material are phytoliths, but starches and cellulose are also encountered and studied. The statistical results of this study, with the help of analytical methods (FAC, AHC), show correlations between plant material frequencies and human population. In addition, we found that some striation pattern assemblages can be linked to particular phytolith residues.
