摘要
Time-division multiplexing is a useful modulation approach to miniaturize fiber optic gyroscope (FOG). The structure and the fundamental principle of a three-axis time division multiplexing fiber-optic gyroscope (TDM-FOG) system are presented. A transient process exists during axis switching which causes the gyroscope precision to decline. The modulation error is modeled and analyzed with taking the closed-loop characteristics into consideration. Then the compensation modulation algorithm is described. The simulation and experiment results suggest that the algorithm and implementation is valid.
