摘要
It is known, that research is a key driver of innovation. Not only are governments interested in ongoing activities and outcomes, but also managers, researchers, the media, and increasingly society as Such. Research Information is naturally stored in information systems by means of an underlying conceptual model to describe the system entities by their attributes and relationships. So-called 'conceptual models' do usually not employ the vocabularies or rules required at application levels. Where research information systems are gaining ground, they are recognized as valuable for maintaining multiple vocabularies, in support of inter-system operation, information integration and re-use, and for the better understanding of Research as a domain and thus its ontological foundation. We propose a model-driven framework for developing a sharable Research vocabulary based on CERIF1. which scales to serving multiple stakeholders.
