The Calculation of Ecological Footprints of Liaoning Province and Quantitative Analysis on Its Influencing Factors

摘要：
As an effective method to measure the sustainable development in quantitative way. EF has been widely applied and developed since it was raised. The time series of Liaoning province's EF from 1996 to 2006 were worked out by using the data of production and consumption of natural resources and population. This paper applied Partial Least-Squares Regression method, and selected several society and economy important indicators as independent variables of ecological footprint influencing factors regression model. Supported by SAS/STAT statistical software, the PLS regression model was built to discuss the relationship between EF and its influencing factors meticulously.
