摘要：

A.G. Baumgarten's Aesthetica (Frankfurt an der Oder 1750-58) contains in nuce the foundation of 'Kulturwissenschaft', or cultural analysis. Between Leibniz, Wolff, and kant, the rhetorical part has been underestimated in the line which runs from Ramus through Descartes, and leads to Baumgarten whose transcendental grounding of aesthetics reanimates rather than leaves behind the Latin tradition of Quintilian.
