Leverage Smart System Services Technology for Smart Green Building Management

摘要
Reducing energy requirements and greenhouse gas emissions for building operations became a critical issue in recent years. Though many different solutions have been proposed to deal with the manner, most of them only focused on how to implement IT systems to improve the building performance. In this paper, we present the Smart System Services (S-3) technology that includes a set of methodologies, tools, and common platform. Then we use an example to show how to leverage S-3 technology to design and implement a smart green building management solution. With S-3, not only IT system implementation but also business strategy, business operation, and all the required steps from business level to IT level are all considered to achieve better agility, scalability, and reusability.
