Volatile oil compositions of leaves and stems inCeltis sinensisPers. were reported. Both essential oils were extracted by supercritical fluid extraction of CO2(SFE-CO2). A total of 44 components were identified in the essential oil of leaves that accounted for 91.09 % of the compositions. The most abundant constituents were found in the leaves, mainly including phthalic acid, diisobutyl ester (20.79 %), cyclohexanone (16.47 %), 2,2'-methylenebis[6-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-methyl]-phenol (8.86 %) and 2,2,3,4-tetramethyl- hex-5-en- 3-ol (5.13 %). There were 52 components found in the volatile oil of stems, representing 96.71 % of the total area. Stems essential oil constituents with higher content were found such as phthalic acid, diisobutyl ester (23.76 %), cyclohexanone (14.78 %), 2,2'-methylenebis[6-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-methyl]- phenol (9.50 %), 1,3-dimethyl- benzene (6.07 %). Twenty-three common compounds accounted for 65.69 % and 71.63 % of total contents in leaves and stems showed a certain similarity in both essential oils. Meanwhile, 50 non-common compositions resulted in some subtle differences to some degree.
