摘要
Mergers and acquisitions and strategic alliances/partnerships are frequently used to refer to linkages between companies from different countries to jointly pursue a common strategic goal. Since the mid-1990's, a key factor driving mergers and acquisitions and partnership formation is the realization that globalization and the desire to create economies of scale, increased efficiency, and productivity. In this study, the merger between Sabanci Holding of Turkey and Dupont of the USA is examined in an analytical way. As well, basic success factors such as common mission, strategy, enhance governance, corporate culture; new organization and management for the effective working of an alliance are delineated Managerial and public policy implications of the study are also offered
