Upper Oligocene-Lower Miocene olistolitic sedimentary formations of the Ghomaride cover in the Beni Hozmar Unit (Talembote area, Northern Rif, Morocco)

New micropaleontological datings are available for the Tertiary cover of the Beni Hozmar unit in the Talembote area. The stratigraphical survey reveals a single sedimentary succession spanning the Oligocene-Burdigalian p,p. interval. It contains olistolites and sedimentary klippes, a first group supplied by the Ghomaride domain and later by an Internal Dorsale of Beni-M'Hamed unit type. Erosional unconformities and abrupt facies changes both of matrix and blocks, allow us to define four Sedimentary Formations (SF, I-IV). The upper one (Burdigalian pp.) is involved in the Internides/Externides front.
