摘要
Electricity is one of the indispensable constituents to abolish poverty and realize socio economic development of a country. Bangladesh generates most of electricity through burning fossil fuels. As a result, it is tremendously dependent on conventional energy sources for power generation. But the natural resources on which it depend for electricity will come to an end within next 50 years if the present rate of usage is going on. This paper has done a feasibility study on a hybrid renewable power system in Subalong, Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh which is a bucolic area where grid extension is not possible due to geographical location. The possibility of Solar, Wind and Biomass as renewable sources has been studied for designing a hybrid power system. The most cost effective system has been found with a levelized cost of electricity at Tk 8.08/kWh by using HOMER.
