Component Analysis and Combustion Properties of the Sediment from Dianchi Lake

摘要
According to the standard method of Proximate Analysis of Coal (GB/T212-2001), sediment from Dianchi Lake was analyzed. Its ultimate analysis was carried out by using X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer (XRF) and Elemental Analysis System. The combustion thermogravimetric property was studied by means of thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA). The results show that the elemental concentration of C and H in the sediment is relative high; in the temperature range from 152 to 553 degrees C, there is a marked drop in the TG-curve with an exothermic peak in the DTA-curve; the rate of weight loss in this temperature range is about 39%, this result is in good agreement with the volatile content measured according to Proximate Analysis of Coal. These results provide the necessary information for recycle of the Dianchi Lake sediment.
