The imaging condition and magnifications were measured using a graded-index multimode fiber for optical communication with a diameter of 140 mu m and a length of 5 mm. The field of view was about 80 mu m and the test pattern of 4.38 mu m period was recognized. Reducing the background noise with the polarizer reflectance images of the weed surface were measured to show the cell shapes. There are problems such as background, distortion, and nonuniformity of image quality; however, the feasibility for minimally invasive endoscope has been shown.
