Synthesis of output wave shapes and Cascading inverter modules for Improvement of Power Quality in a H-Bridge inverter

摘要
Promising advancements in non-conventional energy production are supplementing the conventional ones to address the rising energy demand. But the power quality demands across the globe are still not being addressed. This gap in the power quality can be bridged by efficient configuration of multilevel inverters and synthesizing different wave shapes. This paper calculates the THD content in synthesized wave shapes (2 peaks 0 zeros,'4 peaks 0 zeros, 6 peaks 0 zeros, 8 peaks 0 zeros, 10 peaks 0 zeros) and the configurations in a cascaded H-Bridge multilevel inverter (2 modules, 3 modules, 4 modules, 5 modules) for RL load with 0.8 Power factor. All the simulations have been made in MATLAB - Simulink.
