摘要
The main purpose of the institution of higher education is to disseminate knowledge (student teaching) and also make research work. The institution perspective challenges are to develop new study programs in student training and it is necessary to have highly qualified academic staff to realize that. This article analyzes the main issues in staff development in higher education (HE) organizations. The purpose of the article was to investigate the most adequate development possibilities for academic faculty members. It will discuss the main aspects of recruitment and selection process, burnout of faculty members and reflect staff development issues in HE organization. Staff development helps to retain faculty members and also improves institutions reputation and competitive advantage. The investigation deals with Human Resource Management issues in HE organization in order to improve efficiency and quality of studies.
