This paper discusses the relationship between simulation modelling and knowledge management, which is considered to be one of the latest change management approaches. Whilst there are various areas where these two, usually separated, areas can support each other, we discuss in particular the supporting role of GroupWare in managing and eliciting knowledge amongst the stakeholders involved in simulation model development. An example of the Net-Meeting application is provided, and its suitability to facilitate model development is discussed. The paper concludes with the main observations obtained in this research and proposes some lines for further research in this area.
