Design and Implementation of a Miniaturized CPW-Fed Microstrip Antenna for Triple-Band Applications

摘要
In this paper, a novel and low profile CPW-Fed tripleband microstrip antenna for wireless applications is proposed. The proposed antenna is implemented on FR4-Epoxy dielectric substrate with dimensions of 24x40 mm(2) and generates three desired resonant frequencies at about 2.44 GHz, 3.56 GHz and 5-6 GHz for WLAN and WiMAX applications. Numerical results for the return loss and 2D radiation patterns of the antenna are presented. Good agreement between measured and simulated results is achieved. The obtained results represent that the proposed antenna with good performances can be suitable for various applications such as future developed technologies and handheld devices.
