摘要：

Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs), being an emerging technology, brings a whole lot of pursuits. VANETs are used in enhancing the street safety, lessen the street traffic and provide emergency services. Security, being the real test in VANETs, is far thought as a vital factor inside the progression of vigorous VANET applications. In this paper, the architecture and working of VANETs, related work alongside various kinds of security attacks and challenges of VANET are discussed. From the literature surveyed, it is revealed that security is the way to progress for VANET applications with some basic difficulties. Subsequently, the entryway for future investigation is open for lot of contribution in this field.
