Empirical research on the fragility of Chinese banking system

The fragility of Chinese banking system is of a complex mixed-type. It is a special mixture of the fragility that comes from the friction between a general fragility and the system of the systematic transition. This paper measures the degree and distribution of the fragility of Chinese banking system form 1985 to 2006 by macroscopic economic rules and makes an empirical analysis of the factors which influence our banking systematic fragility by using Logit Model. Moreover, it examines the factors which influence the banks' fragility from the macro-economic conditions, and banks' stratification.
