Review of Techniques for Data Dissemination in Broadcast Environment

Wireless data broadcasting allows a large number of users to retrieve data simultaneously in mobile databases, resulting in an effcient way of using the wireless bandwidth. In the Broadcast database system the data items should properly schedule such that deadlines of the data items should be met. Indexing technique can be used to for energy saving of the mobile devices. Caching can be used to minimize response time of the pull based data items. This paper reviews various techniques used for efficient data dissemination in broadcast environment and it also recommends refinements for the same.
