摘要
Given that the features of different traditional fault location methods and the widespread use of FTU, a hybrid fault location method based on matrix and impedance method for power distribution systems is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the simulated fault current vector is formed by the FTUs' status and network topology. In this vector, the positive elements correspond to the faulted sections. So that the fault sections are located. Then, an equation is derived to locate the accurate fault points based on the already known fault sections. This method accomplishes fault section and accurate fault point location, which not only can help to achieve fast fault feeder isolation, but can avoid the process of eliminating the pseudo fault points. Through simulation in the IEEE 34 test feeder system, the method' s accuracy and validity are proved.
