摘要
Springback is a very important factor to influence the quality of sheet metal forming. Accurate prediction and controlling of springback is essential for the design of tools for sheet metal forming. This study applies the finite element method (FEM) in conjunction with an abductive network to predict springback of strain-hardening material in V-shaped bending process. To verify the prediction of FEM Simulation for springback's angle, the experimental data are compared with the results of current simulation. The influences of the material properties such as strength coefficient of material, strain-hardening exponent and Young's modulus on bending force, stress distribution and springback are also examined. The abductive network was then applied to synthesize the data sets obtained from the numerical simulations. The predicted results of the springback in V-shaped bending process from the prediction model are consistent with the results obtained from FEM simulation quite well. After employing the predictive model can provide valuable references in prediction of the springback of strain-hardening material in V-shaped bending process under a suitable range of material parameters.
