TUNNELING PROPERTIES OF MULTILAYERED PERIODIC STRUCTURES

摘要
This paper presents the analysis of electromagnetic wave scattering by multilayered periodic structure composed of cylindrical posts which constitutes a two-dimensional (2-D) electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structure. The presented procedure combines several efficient numerical techniques, such as the iterative scattering procedure (ISP), the orthogonal expansion method, the T-matrix approach and the lattice sums technique. A simple and accurate cascading procedure is utilized to calculate the scattering parameters of the entire EBG structure. The effect of complete wave tunneling through the proposed structure and the procedure of controlling the tunnelled wave are discussed here.
