Content Diversity in Information-Centric Network Caching

摘要
Internet as a dependent provider repository of saved information and resources is challenged through the request for heterogeneous content. This necessitated the need to lodge and save services and resources on different root servers. However, the semantics of the current Internet have given concern to Users diversifying their interest towards media driven data. These, along several issues generated the need for a new paradigm shift known as Information-centric networks. It has thus been submitted along its advantages, but predictor issues include excessive caching of similar contents resulting to low diversity on the entire network. This study used a mathematical formulation of graph-theory to palliate the aforementioned issue to improve the diversity of contents. The results obtained show our submitted PRECache approach outperformed the default approach to the mark of 80% against 20% and 49% for LCE and ProbCache respectively as the cache sizes varied.
