摘要
Simplex method has been used extensively for magnetoencephalography (MEG) source localization problems. Like other deterministic techniques, however, it can be easily trapped in local optima. In this study, some modifications have been made to improve the ability of finding global optima: 1) constructing an initial simplex using sensitivity of variables, 2) considering relationship between variables, and 3) performing a shaking technique based on polynomial interpolation. The efficiency of the proposed method was tested using simulated MEG data. From the simulation results, it is verified that the improved simplex method can yield more reliable inverse solutions than the conventional one.
