Cloud-Based System for Real Time Medication Monitoring

摘要
A cloud-based system for prescription and monitoring of medication intake that can be used by elderly people is designed and created. In age many people are starting to take their prescribed medications at designated by the doctor or pharmacist scheme. This leads to improperly conducting the treatment and complications. The system has client-server architecture and consists of a mobile app and a WEB service deployed on the Google's public cloud infrastructure - Google App Engine. The identification of patients and medication is implemented using passive Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) or Near Field Communication (NFC) tags. Conducted initial experiments related to the operation of the mobile app and WEB service show that the proposed system can be successfully used for the purpose of appointing and monitoring the intake of medications in real time.
