摘要
Determining heart rate of an athlete during a training session can yield a lot of information about the athlete's fitness level, the training type that the athlete is performing as well as the suitability of the training's intensity. With a selection of heart beat monitoring product out in the market, this research focuses on determining the suitability of Hexoskin smartshirt. The research covers the accuracy of the smartshirt to record heat beat for racket sport activity. In order to determine the heart beat readings, an optical heart beat monitor, Samsung Health by Samsung Galaxy s6 was used as a benchmark to review the smartshirt. Based on the results, Hexoskin smartshirt was deemed suitable to be used to monitor heart beats for an athlete during racket sport activity with less than 2% difference of accuracy compared to Samsung Galaxy S6. This paper also determine that the reading provided by the paired app does not really shows the heart beat result live.
