摘要
In this letter, the symplectic multiresolution time-domain(MRTD) method is introduced for the analysis of waveguide. The numerical results show that stability and numerical dispersion can be significantly improved by using the symplectic integrator, as compared to the conventional MRTD. We demonstrate that with comparison to the conventional MRTD, the symplectic MRTD yields significant CPU time and memory savings for waveguide simulation, for a fixed level of accuracy.
