摘要
This paper presents a new Jaya optimization algorithm to minimize transmission line loss by using optimal reactive power dispatch (RPD). Transmission line loss have been evaluted and simultaneously maximizing reactive reserve accounting voltage stability inequality and equality constraints using continuation power flow methodology. Schur's inequality is selected as a proximity indicator which indicates the state of voltage stability. The proposed Jaya optimization algorithm has been implemented on standard IEEE 30-bus test system. Performance of the Jaya algorithm has been compared with Shuffled Frog Leaping Algorithm (SFLA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The obtained results show that the proposed Jaya algorithm is more effective, better convergence characteristics and robustness as compared to SFLA & PSO algorithms.
