Paging area planning in future cellular systems

摘要
Efficient resource utilisation in future cellular systems is related to the control of the signalling load imposed by the paging operations. This relies on the application of efficient paging schemes, and on the "proper" planning of paging areas. In this paper we define and solve a version of the paging area planning problem. In particular, we provide a low complexity algorithm, under the assumption that the scheme applied falls within the last interaction based paging (LIBP) category.
