Brief Exploration in Approach to the Translation of Financial News

With China developing into the world's second largest economy, the exchange of financial news between China and the world is unprecedentedly important. As a result, there is an increasing need for timely and accurate information of international financial events. This paper explores into the features of lexical and syntactic forms of English financial news by comparing the examples from financial news reports. The paper has a general study on the translation of financial English from the perspective of contextual understanding, application of translation strategies and translation of Chinese culturally-specific financial expressions.
