Treatment for high-grade cervical intraephitelial neoplasia

The treatment of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia aims to end eliminate cervical lesion and thereby prevent its progression to invasive cancer; therefore, there is consensus in the treatment of all high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, except in special cases In recent decades we have moved from conducting aggressive treatments such as cervical amputation and hysterectomy to achieving conservative treatments, whose election must be individualized depending on the characteristics of each patient. In this review we analyze the management of patients diagnosed with high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, the diferents treatment techniques and their indications, as well as a comparison between different methods as published in the literature. Likewise, and because no treatment method ensures the healing of the patient, we analyze posttreatment follow-up.
