Dynamic models for coherent structures and its role in solving the problems of the transport of passive quantities in turbulent flows

摘要：
Dynamic models has been proposed for coherent structures in turbulent shear flows, which yielded results in agreement with those from experimental observations. Using the known velocity field corresponding to those coherent sturctures; we were able to calculate the Nusselt number for the heat trasfer problem for the boundary layer over a heated plate, which shows that the knowledge of coherent structures is really useful for modelling turbulent flows.
