Taiwan Chiayi's old prison is one of only two remaining Pennsylvania styled radial construction left worldwide. Since its establishment during the Japanese era till today, additional constructions have made it a demo site for the evolution for architectural engineering methods. It is also a living fossil of prison architecture. From the perspective of architectural history research, its planning concepts, spacing form, structural engineering methods, and the material used are representatives of each era. Therefore, it has architectural research and architectural education values. Its historical and humanities content are the joint memory of the people of Chiayi region, and it is a historical window into prison politics, rule of law, and correctional education. Chiayi's old prison is a collection of settlement style buildings. In addition to individual buildings, there is also the layout of the entire architectural group. Therefore, how to provide a restorative reference, promotion, and educational records in digital form, this study proposes using a 720 degree panoramic VR to record the entire landscape and interior of the architectural building. This will be combined with architectural survey sketch information and use the Sketch up (R) software to create a 3D structure image to fully preserve the entire shape of the architectural landscape and the atmosphere. This will also take care of the external appearance and the structure of the individual architecture. The digital information created from this research will be presented in website format, to reach the effect of preserving, promotion, and education in an interactive way.
