摘要
In order to exploit the tremendous potentials of ceramic matrix composites for gas turbine application and to minimise the associated risk, a programme to design, build and test a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) combustor was initiated to assess the component fabrication capability, to evaluate modelling and analysis tools and to validate material performance at engine operating conditions. A preliminary design produced by the programme is employed here as a vehicle to address the modelling and design issues.
