摘要
Background: Mindfulness can be defined as paying attention in a certain way: on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally. Recently, therapeutic approaches aimed at improving mindfulness have been developed. Objective: To evaluate the psychometric properties of the German version of the "Mindful Attention Awareness Scale" (MAAS). Methods: The 15 MAAS-items were translated and, using a sample of 469 students, dimensionality, reliability and validity of the MAAS were evaluated. Results: Comparable to results using the original scale, the German version of the MAAS showed a single factor structure, an internal consistency of alpha = .83 and associations with symptom distress und subjective well-being. Conclusions: The German version of the MAAS seems to be an economic, reliable and valid questionnaire for assessing mindfulness.
