摘要
Three sets of 100MVar STATCOM devices have been installed within the Funing converter station to solve the problem of dynamic reactive power insufficiency of weak system in +/- 500kV Yong-Fu HVDC Project. In this paper, the reverse control during AC filter putting into operation and the transient supporting action during the AC transient fault recovery are analyzed, and the control strategy and response characteristics are described in detail. The data of STATCOM design research and field test are collated, and verify the characteristics of STATCOM, with tripping event caused by artificial AC short circuit test, analyze the causes of transient locking and fault exit in STATCOM. This paper reveals the operation characteristics of large capacity STATCOM device in DC converter station, through the coordination of STATCOM and transient control, the risk of DC commutation failure and disturbance can be reduced and the optimization measures of STATCOM control strategy are put forward. By studying the response characteristics of STATCOM in the converter station, it is proved that three sets of STATCOM can support the steady operation of DC system.
