Private capital and national interests

For many years Herald of the Russian Academy of Sciences has consistently highlighted problems related to the country's current socioeconomic policy, distributive relations, and the government's role in economic regulation. Among those who debated these topics on the journal's pages were Academicians L.I. Abalkin, O.T. Bogomolov, D.S. L'vov, R.I. Nigmatulin, and N.Ya. Petrakov, RAS Corresponding Members R.S. Grinberg and N.M. Rimashevskaya, and Professor A.Yu. Shevyakov. Their principal approaches might differ in detail but were close on key positions concerning the need for government involvement in economic processes, support for national interests, and a just distribution of accumulated wealth. The present publication fully proves the correctness of this point of view.
