摘要
Two kaolinitic clays(one lateritic and other alluvium) from Yaounde region in Cameroon were subjected to a thermal treatment between RT and 1100 degrees C ; volumic shrinkage, loss on firing, open porosity, bulk density and bending strength are those characteristics which were examined in ordre to use them in ceramic industries. Ceramics from alluvium clays have at least up to 1050 degrees C : shrinkage, loss on firing and bulk density most higher, lower porosity and a greater bending strength. Ceramics from lateritic clay remain porous. These results show that alluvium clay is more useful as ceramic material.
