摘要
Self-reflection - the process of examining our own thoughts, emotions, and behaviors - is closely tied to aspects of self-regulation and self-awareness to promote changes in behavior. In this paper building on existing research in the area of self-reflection and games for learning we make the case that game systems provide golden opportunities to engage learners in impactful forms of self-reflection and provide four game design patterns intended to have direct and practical applications to the design of learning games to promote self-reflection.
