摘要：

A novel complex of cadmium(II) picrate with V-shaped ligand 1,3-bis(1-ethylbenzimidazol-2-yl)-2-oxopropane (Etobb), with the composition [Cd(Etobb)(2)](pic)(2)center dot 2(DMF) was synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses and electrical conductivity, and IR and UV/visible spectra. The crystal structure of the complex has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In the complex, the Cd(II) ion is six-coordinated with a N4O2 ligand set, resulting in a distorted octahedron, where the four nitrogen atoms are not in the same plane and the distances of Cd-N are different
