摘要
A Bartlett correction is derived to improve the accuracy of the subject years method, which is used to compare the mortality experience of the population being studied to that of a known population in medical follow up studies. The actual type I errors and powers of the Bartlett corrected test are compared with that of the original test by Monte-Carlo simulations.
