On April 13, 2020, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) announced that due to COVID-19, the annual meeting, held every spring in Chicago, would be cancelled. Instead, the organization announced a new and unprecedented replacement for the meeting in an online format. The ASCO20 Virtual Scientific Program was held on May 29-31, 2020. The ASCO20 theme was 'Unite & Conquer: Accelerating Progress Together,' an appropriate encouragement for scientific research at a time when it is most needed. The virtual online program included oral, poster and poster discussion presentations, as well as track-based Clinical Science Symposia throughout the weekend. In addition, the organizers announced that recordings of all broadcast sessions would be posted on the ASCO20 virtual platform for access regardless of time zone.
