Agricultural research for development - International co-operation

There is a long tradition for international co-operation in agricultural research. In addition, agricultural research is taking a more holistic approach than formerly. This can be utilized in co-operation in agricultural research for development. Research will to an increasing degree be integrated in Danish Agricultural Sector Programme Support, which is mentioned as an example at the National level. The global CGIAR system is described together with its five major research thrusts. Information and Communication Technology is mentioned as an important tool in promoting international co-operation in agricultural research for development.
